Vegan Chick'n Breast!

This recipe is super versatile and tasty!

Once you've made these easy chick'n breasts, you can jazz them up however you feel.. this is a great basic recipe that can be used in anything or just eaten as it is!


Makes 4 chick'n breasts


You'll need this stuff first:

200g vital wheat gluten, 350g silken tofu, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp vegan chicken seasoning (I used morrisons own!) and 2 tsp vegan chicken stock powder, 100ml water.


1. To a blender, add everything apart from the vital wheat gluten. Blend until super smooth. Pour the mixture into a large bowl with the gluten. Mix to form a ball of dough and knead for 2-3 minutes.




2. Split the seitan into 4 and shape each one into a chicken'y shape. Wrap tightly in cling film and then tin foil. Add to a pan of boiling water and simmer for 1 hour with the lid on.





3. Remove from the pan and allow to cool completely. (this improves the texture)




And that's LITERALLY IT. how easy was that?!?!


Chuck it on a sandwich, in a curry, on the BBQ, with your pasta, simply seasoned and grilled.. the world is YOURS my friend.. ENJOY
